"Happy Holidays! I would like 2 express my gratitude to Jared, my State Farm Representative, from the Raymond Felton Office. He went well beyond what should have been an easy & basic task to handle. He worked on this glich for hours with Me. It had to do w verifying my identification, so We could have a successful set of policies set up & e-signed. His dedication, perserverance, & knowledge re something We've never experienced, and it was truly an invisible, which made it harder to fix. "Ray Felton State Farm Insurance will deny your claim if they can. I am a Hudson resident. We took on the flood on August 8th, 2024. This flood is stated below… During the August 8, 2024, rain event, the National Weather Service reported 6.97 inches of rainfall in less than 8 hours in the northeastern parts of Hudson. Of this total, 5.24 inches fell between 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM. The 6.97 inches of rainfall within 24 hours is uncommon, with a return period of approximately 500 years. We had major damage to the interior of our home. We filed a claim and it was denied for the following reason and this is a quote from @statefarm at Raymond Felton State Farm Insurance - Hudson…. “Thank you for reaching out. I can understand your frustration over your current situation. Unfortunately the homeowners policy is clear that it will not cover preexisting damage and that any damage would need to present as sudden and unexpected when a loss occurs.” Nothing about that flood was common. Damage to the interior of my home was not over time. It was unexpected. 500 years unexpected and very sudden. However, Raymond Felton State Farm in Hudson denied my claim. In addition to this, my claim was in the first floor, not in my basement. Please don’t use their services. When you need them most, you will get denied. Maybe they should stop paying celebrities and start helping people."

There is information not being shared in this review that the State Farm's claims department and our agency have explained in detail as to why your claim was denied in this particular event. It would be unprofessional for me to air this on a public forum but would be happy to further discuss this with you. Each State Farm Agency is an Independent Contractor owning their business and we work with State Farm to assure claims are paid to the customer based on the language in each contract (in this case the homeowners policy). We have many customers that have seen our efforts go above and beyond to assure that contract was honored. I have a responsibility to do that for the customer and for State Farm. "
